The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province has issued an urgent document to stop organizing the Lam Dong Trail 2025 trail race because storm Kalmaegi (storm number 13) is about to make landfall.

On the morning of November 6, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province issued urgent document No. 2120/SVHTTDL-QLTDTT on stopping the organization of the Lam Dong Trail trail race in 2025 to respond to storm Kalmaegi (storm No. 13).

The document clearly states that, based on Official Dispatch No. 209/CD-TTg dated November 5, 2025 of the Prime Minister , it is required to focus on implementing work to prevent, avoid and respond to storm Kalmaegi.

According to the plan, at the time of typhoon Kalmaegi, Lam Dong province was holding the LamDong Trail tournament organized by the Green Hat Joint Stock Company (from November 7-9, 2025). The tournament gathered a large number of domestic and foreign athletes to participate.

Storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi Storm) strengthens to level 15, forecast to make landfall in Quang Ngai - Dak Lak

To ensure the concentration of forces to deploy measures to prevent, avoid and respond to storm Kalmaegi, ensuring the safety of people and athletes participating in the race. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province requested the Green Hat Joint Stock Company to postpone the organization of the Vietnam Highlands Trail race, Lam Dong 2025.

Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the organizing unit to closely monitor the weather situation and the instructions of the competent authorities on responding to extreme weather phenomena, and to submit a written report requesting permission to organize the above event at another appropriate time. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests that Green Hat Joint Stock Company seriously implement this.
