The Congress opened with a parade, demonstrating the strength of 1,000 athletes, military forces, security forces, women, youth, and veterans from all villages and residential areas in Tien Thang commune. The traditional flame from Hill 79, the place to commemorate the great Uncle Ho, was lit by Comrade Hoang Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Tien Thang Commune Party Committee, to officially open the Congress.

Opening the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Thang Commune Nguyen Minh Hai emphasized, Along with the task of building and developing the socio- economy , ensuring security and national defense, Tien Thang commune always pays attention to developing culture, physical education and sports, promoting the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", to improve health, perfect human physique, actively contribute to developing human resources, improving the spiritual life of the people.

Sports facilities continue to be reviewed, upgraded and planned. Many exciting sports tournaments have been organized, attracting a large number of athletes and people to participate. Villages and socio -political organizations from the association level to the branch level all have effective sports clubs.

Many outdoor sports equipment are installed in public places to serve the people's training needs. In 2025, the rate of the commune's population regularly exercising is estimated to reach more than 40%; the rate of sports families is estimated to reach over 32%. From the sports movement in the commune, many good and potential athletes have emerged, introducing excellent athletes to the city.

According to the Chairman of Tien Thang Commune People's Committee, the first Tien Thang Commune Sports Festival is the first Sports Festival of the commune in the new period under the 2-level local government model, affirming a new step of development in the administrative apparatus, meeting the requirements of modern, effective, efficient management, serving the people better.

The congress is not only a great festival of the mass sports movement, but also a symbol of the spirit of solidarity, innovation and aspiration to rise of the Party Committee, government and people of Tien Thang commune.
