Determining 16 teams participating in the 2026 National Volleyball Championship

VHO - The final round of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament just ended in Ha Tinh and also determined the 16 teams that will participate in the 2026 National Volleyball Championship.

At the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Championship Finals, the two champions were determined to be Ho Chi Minh City men's and Hanoi women's. In the final, Ho Chi Minh City men's defeated host Ha Tinh 3-1 while Hanoi women's defeated Quang Ninh 3-0.

Meanwhile, the two men's teams Tay Ninh and women's teams Ho Chi Minh City and officially relegated after failing to stay in the 2025 National Championship.

Thus, 16 teams will participate in the highest level of Vietnamese volleyball in 2026 have been determined.

In the men's group, the rookie, the champion of the A-class tournament - Ho Chi Minh City will compete with Border Guard (national champion 2025), Tan Cang The Cong, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Da Nang and Sanest Khanh Hoa.

In the women's group, the rookie, the champion of the A division - Hanoi will compete with VTV Binh Dien Long An (reigning champion), Ninh Binh, Thong tin - Dong Bac, Cong Thuong Bank, Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals, Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen.

It is expected that the 2026 National Volleyball Championship will maintain the 2-stage competition format (round 1 and round 2) similar to previous seasons. Teams will compete in a round robin in the group stage, selecting the 4 highest-ranked teams to compete in the semi-finals.

Because the 10th National Sports Congress will take place in Ho Chi Minh City in 2026, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) and the Vietnam Sports Administration will consider adjusting the organization time accordingly.
