Accordingly, after previous heavy rains with unusually high rainfall, maintenance units conducted a site inspection and discovered stagnant water on the side of the road (with water barriers).

To ensure traffic safety, the relevant unit cleared the flow by chiseling a short section of the barrier to drain water. This is the cause of local erosion and gaping at the foot of the guardrail columns. The damaged locations are mainly in the section passing through Ham Liem commune, concentrated in some areas at the routes Km213 - Km214 and some other local locations from Km206 - Km207.

In order to ensure safety of the entire route, Project Management Board 7 has assigned permanent staff to the scene, actively coordinating with agencies and units managing the expressway to handle damaged locations, ensure traffic safety of the expressway, reinforce locations at risk of landslides and open spaces, and at the same time review and build water barriers to direct water to the reinforced water collection location.
