A G7 taxi driver reported that while he was waiting to pick up a passenger, Quang Giang staff locked his car's wheels, then assaulted him and had to be hospitalized. The police have stepped in to verify and investigate the incident.
Mr. D.TD (born in 1984, in Me Linh, Hanoi) said that at around 4:30 a.m. on March 6, he drove a taxi with license plate 30F 355XX of G7 taxi company to the area in front of house number 55 Nguyen Hoang. While waiting for a customer, he went to house number 70 (opposite) to drink water. At this time, a man came out to lock Mr. D's taxi wheel.
"I ran over to talk to him, hoping he would sympathize and open the lock. However, he cursed, saying that this was the Quang Giang garage area so he couldn't park. When I said if I was wrong, I would apologize and not curse harshly, he used the car lock to repeatedly hit me on the head, causing me to collapse on the spot," Mr. D. said.
Currently, Mr. D. is being treated at the Neurology Department, Hospital 19-8. He still cannot sit up due to dizziness and nausea. The family has reported to the My Dinh 2 Ward Police. The police have come to the hospital to take statements.
At noon on March 6, reporters recorded many police officers coming to the Quang Giang bus station area to verify and work with the bus station representative.
On the sidewalk of Nguyen Hoang street, the victim's blood trail stretched about 20 meters.
Mr. Le Van H. (26 years old, a security guard at a restaurant near the scene) said he heard arguing, followed by shouts of "beating people".
Mr. H. added that the person who beat Mr. D. had previously been aggressive, throwing beer bottles at his employees.
Mr. Nguyen Van V. (30 years old, security guard at the restaurant opposite 55 Nguyen Hoang) said he saw Mr. D. holding his head, walking on the sidewalk, then being taken to the emergency room by people.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Quan - General Director of G7 taxi said that immediately after the incident, the company's leaders visited and encouraged the driver and his family to report to the police to strictly handle the subject who assaulted people illegally.
The leader of My Dinh 2 Ward Police said that the unit has received information about the incident and is investigating and clarifying it.
