Gasoline continues to decrease by nearly 400 VND/liter, oil price increases

Gasoline prices today, from 3:00 p.m. on October 31. Accordingly, each liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 284 VND/liter, RON 95 gasoline decreased by 391 VND/liter; meanwhile, oil prices increased again.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance has just adjusted the retail price of gasoline and oil in the adjustment period today (October 31). The application time is from 3:00 p.m. on October 31, 2024.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by VND284/liter, down to VND19,408/liter; RON 95 gasoline decreased by VND391/liter, down to VND20,503/liter.

Notably, the price of various types of oil increased, accordingly, the price of diesel 0.05S: Increased by 91 VND/liter, at 18,148 VND/liter; Kerosene increased by 263 VND/liter, at 18,833 VND/liter; Mazut 180CST 3.5S increased by 232 VND/kg, at 16,461 VND/kg.

In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and fuel oil.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period on October 24, 2024 and the adjustment period on October 31, 2024 is: 77.906 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (down 1.812 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.27%); 83.648 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (down 2.298 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.67%); 88.246 USD/barrel of kerosene (up 1.328 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.53%); 86.274 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (up 0.340 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.40%); 466,712 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (up 7,322 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 1.59%).

In the world market, crude oil prices have continuously decreased, reaching the lowest level since the beginning of the month. However, today, prices have slightly increased. At 6:00 a.m., Brent oil prices increased by 1.43 USD, equivalent to 2.01%, to 72.55 USD/barrel. WTI oil prices increased by 1.4 USD, equivalent to 2.08%, to 68.61 USD/barrel.

Oil prices rose after U.S. gasoline inventories fell 2.7 million barrels to a two-year low on strong demand. Oil inventories also fell 500,000 barrels due to lower imports. U.S. crude imports from Saudi Arabia fell to their lowest level since January 2021 at 13,000 barrels a day last week, down 20,000 barrels a day from the previous week.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) may delay a planned increase in oil output in December by a month or more due to concerns about weak oil demand and rising supplies.

In the most recent adjustment period (October 24), the prices of all types of gasoline and oil were adjusted down by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance.

Specifically, the price of E5 gasoline was adjusted down by 40 VND/liter, selling price is 19,690 VND/liter. The price of RON 95 gasoline decreased by 70 VND/liter, selling price is 20,890 VND/liter.

Meanwhile, diesel price was adjusted down by 270 VND/liter, selling price is 18,050 VND/liter. Kerosene price decreased by 50 VND/liter, price is 18,570 VND/liter.
