At the meeting, representatives of consulting units presented a summary report on the adjustment of the general planning of Gia Nghia City; socio-economic development strategy; planning strategy and proposed development models for Gia Nghia urban area in the future.

Gia Nghia is also identified as the center of politics , economy, culture, tourism and resort services; is the nucleus that plays a role in connecting the Southern Central Highlands region with the Southeast; is an international gateway and a smart, unique urban area with characteristics of natural terrain and ecological landscape.

Based on the current status, potential and orientation of the locality, planning consultants have proposed 3 development models for Gia Nghia urban area including: Urbanization model along the route; urban density model of existing centers and multi-center model by creating new neighborhoods.

Representatives of departments and branches gave opinions agreeing with the urban development orientation according to the multi-center model combined with Gia Nghia urban development.

Director of Dak Nong Province Department of Construction Phan Nhat Thanh highly agrees on the urban development orientation of Gia Nghia City.

After listening to comments on the initial report on adjusting the general urban planning of Gia Nghia until 2045, comrade Le Trong Yen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Building a development orientation and adjusting the general urban planning of Gia Nghia is necessary and important.
