On January 5, social media spread images of the Da River drying up, exposing the Trung Ha bridge pier (located on National Highway 32, connecting Ba Vi district, Hanoi with Tam Nong district, Phu Tho province) with exposed steel and many broken concrete blocks on the bridge pier.
At both ends of Trung Ha bridge, signs are posted prohibiting trucks with 3 axles or more and passenger vans with more than 29 seats from crossing the bridge.

From December 28, 2023, the Phu Tho Department of Transport has installed warning signs of danger, speed limits, and vehicle weights crossing the bridge.
