Rumors of Thai Cong's company paying 1.1 billion VND/month for premises in Ho Chi Minh City

On September 16, social networks were abuzz with information posted by some real estate brokers about leasing premises at 66-68 Hai Ba Trung (District 1, HCMC). It is known that this is the headquarters address of Thai Cong Vietnam Co., Ltd., with designer Quach Thai Cong as General Director.

According to information posted by some brokers, this premises has a rental area of ​​1,517m2, a usable area of ​​1,400m2, a structure of one ground floor and 7 upper floors. The lease term is 5-10 years, the tenant must deposit 3 months and pay 3 months/time. The rental price is 45,000 USD/month, equivalent to more than 1.1 billion VND/month.

"The building is located in a prime location at the corner of Hai Ba Trung and Nguyen Sieu streets, opposite the Park Hyatt Saigon hotel. A strategic location for branding," said a broker.

Mr. To Tuan, a real estate broker in Ho Chi Minh City, said that on September 16, he received information about this rental space and posted it looking for a tenant for 45,000 USD/month. "Until now, no tenant has been found. If there is a need, customers will meet directly with the owner of the space to discuss the rental period as well as related issues," he said.

Similarly, another broker also said the rental price is 45,000 USD/month, with a 6-month deposit. "The building's contract will expire at the end of September, so customers can rent it right away," this person said.

However, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Yves Huy Phan - CEO of Thai Cong Interior Design, the company founded by Thai Cong - confirmed that the information that the company returned the premises at 66-68 Hai Ba Trung (District 1, HCMC) was untrue.

Thai Cong opened the Flagship store (official store, representing the brand) at 66-68 Hai Ba Trung, District 1 in March 2023.

In May 2014, Mr. Quach Thai Cong established Thai Cong Vietnam Co., Ltd. with the main business line being construction completion. Mr. Cong is the legal representative and General Director.

In December 2021, this enterprise increased its charter capital from VND 2.7 billion to VND 3 billion. In an announcement published in October 2022, the company's headquarters was changed to 66-68 Hai Ba Trung. In January 2023, this company added Mr. Oliver Haake-Schütz (born in 1965, German nationality) as its legal representative.
