On August 28, Ms. NTH (residing in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province) informed that her son D.XH had been recognized as having graduated from junior high school by the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot city.
At the end of the 2022-2023 school year, the family was surprised to be informed that their child did not have a transcript for grades 7, 8 and 9, so he would not be considered for recognition of his junior high school graduation. From there, Ms. H filed a "call for help" petition, complaining and requesting recognition of his junior high school graduation.
Mrs. H confided: "Many times the authorities responded that there was no basis to recognize her child's graduation, so she intended to give up. However, when she returned home and saw her child sad because her peers were going to school while she had to stay home alone, she could not accept it.
After receiving the appeal, under the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training , H. was organized to review, take the test, complete the application and was recognized as a graduate.
"I have submitted my child's application to study at a college in Dak Lak . He will study both general education and vocational training. This morning he went to school for the first day" - Mrs. H. happily said.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, in the 2019-2020 school year, the family of student D.XH (Buon Ma Thuot City) submitted an application for student H. to study in grade 6 at the above school. Based on the application, the student was admitted and was arranged by the school to study in grade 6D.
However, during school, due to health problems, H. did not return to class 6D but followed his friends to class 7D (formerly class 6D went to class 7D), so the homeroom teacher reported to the school and H.'s parents to coordinate.
At this time, H.'s parents submitted a request to the school to allow their child to move up to grade 7D, with the reason being that they wanted their child to integrate into the community. In the request, the parents stated that H. had autism.
This incident resulted in student H. continuing to study in grades 8 and 9 without having educational evaluation records for grades 7, 8 and 9.
