Author Tham Tam (1917-1950) is known as a poet. In particular, his poem “Tong biet hanh” is loved by many people and is considered one of the best poems of the New Poetry movement in particular and modern Vietnamese poetry in general.
However, Tham Tam was also a multi-talented author. He worked as a journalist, painter, writer, and playwright... From 1942-1945, he wrote many children's stories published in the Truyen Ba and Pho Thong bi-monthly newspapers... After the August Revolution, he joined the resistance and died at a very young age - 33 years old.
With the support of author Tham Tam's family and collectors, Kim Dong Publishing House has collected quite a lot and selected to reprint his children's stories into books. Tham Tam's three collections of children's stories consolidate and shape his unique literary style, which is a skillful combination of traditional genres with modern content, bringing many layers of meaning.
