Yamal, Rashford help Barcelona win the match to wash their faces

On a day when the attack shone brightly, Barcelona easily defeated Elche with a score of 3-1 in round 11 of La Liga, thereby shortening the gap with the top team Real Madrid to 5 points.

Immediately after the opening whistle, the home team at Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium quickly took control of the game. In the 9th minute, Alejandro Balde crossed delicately for Lamine Yamal to tap the ball into the net to open the score for Barcelona.

Two minutes later, the joy continued to double when Fermin Lopez assisted Ferran Torres to head the ball accurately, making it 2-0.

Despite being behind, Elche did not give up. In the 42nd minute, Rafa Mir took advantage of a mistake by Barca's defense to reduce the score to 1-2, helping the away team to keep hope alive.

Entering the second half, Elche continued to rise strongly and almost equalized when Rafa Mir's shot in the 55th minute hit the crossbar.

However, just a few minutes later, Fermin Lopez shone again with an accurate high pass for Marcus Rashford to unleash a thunderous volley, the ball hit the crossbar and bounced into the net, sealing a 3-1 victory for Barcelona in the 61st minute.

Elche’s late efforts could not change the situation. The convincing victory helped coach Hansi Flick’s team continue to chase Real Madrid in the championship race, while also confirming the strong signs of the Blaugrana’s attack.
