Request to clarify the cause of the fire that killed one woman

The Office of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province has just issued a document conveying the direction of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province on investigating, clarifying the cause, and overcoming the consequences of the house fire in Dai Thi village, Yen Lap commune, Chiem Hoa district.

Accordingly, to promptly verify, investigate and clarify the cause and overcome the consequences of the incident, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Chiem Hoa district directed to organize thoughtful visits, timely encouragement, material and spiritual support, funeral work, and create conditions to help stabilize the residence and life of the victim's family soon.

The leaders of Tuyen Quang province also requested the People's Committee of Chiem Hoa district to closely coordinate with the provincial police, relevant departments and branches to direct functional forces to focus on overcoming the consequences, promptly investigate the cause of the fire, and strictly handle violations (if any) according to the provisions of law.

In addition, the Director of Tuyen Quang Provincial Police directed the force to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire, determine the damage, and ensure security and order in the area.

The Director of the Provincial Police Department and Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts and cities continue to direct the serious, drastic and effective implementation of the directions of the Government, the Prime Minister and the Provincial People's Committee on fire prevention and fighting.

Departments and localities need to strengthen propaganda and guidance on fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue and relief skills for people and facilities at high risk of fire and explosion in the province.

As reported by Vietnam Law Newspaper , the fire broke out at a residential house and business premises at around 11pm on May 17 in Yen Lap commune, Chiem Hoa district.

Authorities in Tuyen Quang province carried out rescue measures and by around 3:30 a.m. on May 18, the fire was basically extinguished. However, Ms. HTL (born in 1972) died at the scene. Property damage was estimated at around 3 billion VND.
