105 students in Da Nang have started their journey to communes and wards to support the two-level government apparatus.

After nearly 2 months of operating the 2-level government apparatus in communes and wards, facing difficulties for some people when using devices to complete administrative procedures, Da Nang City mobilized 105 information technology students to go.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on the morning of August 18, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong - Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, said that on the same morning, 105 university students majoring in information technology from universities in Da Nang set out to 44 communes and wards to begin assisting people in handling administrative procedures.

According to Mr. Hong, in the plan to organize student volunteers to support technology application and digital transformation in wards and communes issued by the People's Committee of Da Nang City, Da Nang City said that sending students to communes aims to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation to serve the activities of local authorities; especially providing and handling administrative procedures for people and businesses.

There are 69 wards and communes in need of support for information technology students.

Over the past few days, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City has coordinated with schools such as Vietnam - Korea University of Information Technology and Communications (VKU),FPT University, Duy Tan University to plan, list and select 105 students to go to 44 communes and wards in the first batch.

Locally, students will support staff. handle technical problems of working equipment such as computers, printers, networks...

Instructions for using management software, online public service systems and popular AI tools in administrative work.

Students are also on duty to help people use devices at the public administration center; support online application submission, result lookup; use personal digital signatures and the city's digital platforms such as Danang Smart City, VNeID...; utility applications, AI technology applications for businesses and people.

The Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City added that after the first round, the department will organize the next rounds of mobilization depending on the needs of the communes, wards and the number of students registered.

Previously, in the project to support communes and wards operating in the initial period of organizing the 2-level local government model, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang mobilized human resources from enterprises in the industry (VNPT, Post Office, Viettel) to directly support 2 people in each commune and ward to apply information technology.
