120 athletes to participate in the 2023 International Yoga Asana and Flow Yoga Arena Championship

On September 30, in Bangkok (Thailand), the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 International Yoga Asana and Flow Yoga Arena Championship took place. The tournament was organized by the World Yoga Alliance YSK and the International Sports Federation YSF along with many units and organizations, with the support of the Vietnam Yoga Federation.

The tournament is an international sporting event that attracts the attention and participation of 18 units with 120 athletes competing for 233 sets of medals. At the same time, it demonstrates passion, integrates into the global Yoga community, and learns from Yoga lovers from all over the world .

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand Bui Thi Hue said that this is a special opportunity to connect, promote understanding and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Thailand through the spirit of sports as well as Yoga practice.

Ms. Bui Thi Hue highly appreciated the contribution of the Healthy Living Yoga Academy in developing Yoga and Yoga-related social activities in Vietnam. “Through activities such as this tournament, Healthy Living Yoga Academy has been making Yoga an important part of the daily life of both countries,” Ms. Hue affirmed.

At the tournament, athletes competed in 2 categories. The Yoga Asana Championship category competed for 54 sets of medals in 3 age groups: under 18 years old, 20-40 years old and over 40 years old. The Artistic Yoga Flow Collective Competition category competed for 18 sets of medals in groups: 3 people, 5 people and 10 people.

The Organizing Committee will award the Pose Championship Medal to the first-place winners in each competition along with a certificate. The overall team cup ranking (First, Second, Third) is calculated based on the total number of medals achieved by the athletes of the teams.

According to President of Healthy Living Yoga Academy - Head of the tournament organizing committee Vu Hong Yen, in recent years, the Yoga practice movement has grown stronger and stronger, many Yoga communities have been founded around the world.

The YSK World Yoga Healthy Living Alliance organizes the 2023 International Yoga Asana and Flow Yoga Arena Championship in Thailand to exchange and share experiences in improving health through Yoga lessons. Thereby, enhancing understanding, exchange, solidarity and mutual learning between the two countries of Vietnam and Thailand.

“Organizing professional Yoga competitions is to create a healthy, top-notch sports playground, contributing to improving cultural life and meeting the needs of Yoga enthusiasts,” Ms. Yen shared.
