According to the reply letter from the Malaysian Football Federation, the main referee of the match between the Vietnamese team and the Hong Kong team on June 15 at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong) is referee Suhaizi Bin Shukri. This Elite-level referee was invited to officiate the hot match in V-League 2022 between Viettel and Binh Dinh FC in round 23. In the 2017 and 2018 seasons, referee Suhaizi Bin Shukri also came to Vietnam to officiate in a number of matches that were considered to have decisive significance in the relegation race of a number of clubs in the V-League.

Two assistant referees to referee Suhaizi Bin Shukri in the friendly match between Vietnam and Hong Kong are also from Malaysia, namely referees Mohd Yusri Bin Muhamad and Muhammad Farhan Bin Abdul Aziz. The fourth referee is Vietnamese referee Nguyen Manh Hai.
The two assistants mentioned above will continue to be assigned by the Malaysian Football Federation to perform duties in the second friendly match between the Vietnamese team and the Syrian team on June 20 at Thien Truong Stadium ( Nam Dinh ).

The main referee is referee Tuan Mohd Yassin Bin Tuan Mohd Hanaflah. Recently, in round 11 of V-League 2023 on June 5, referee Tuan Mohd Yassin Bin Tuan Mohd Hanaflah officiated the match considered the "final" of the first leg between Thanh Hoa team and Hanoi Police team at Thanh Hoa stadium. Last season, this same referee was invited to officiate the match between Thanh Hoa team and Ho Chi Minh City Club in round 22 of V-League 2022.
The fourth referee in the match between Vietnam and Syria is referee Hoang Ngoc Ha.
