250 Taekwondo students compete to upgrade their belts

The first quarter belt upgrade exam of 2024 just took place at Le Loi Secondary and High School with 250 martial arts students in Phan Thiet city.

The belt upgrading exam had more than 250 martial artists in many age groups of Taekwondo clubs in Phan Thiet City. The belt upgrading exam helps martial artists with a passion for martial arts have the opportunity to develop their abilities after a period of hard training. The exam was applied digital transformation by the Organizing Committee and was broadcast live on social platforms for the Taekwondo Federation to evaluate.

During the exam, martial artists must go through many tests: Basic hand skills, basic foot skills, compulsory rights, designated rights, sparring, and physical strength...

“This belt exam with the largest number of martial artists ever, not only was it directly evaluated by coaches on a digital platform, the supervision team also followed the regulations of the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation. The belt upgrade exam is held regularly every quarter, to help martial artists improve their skills in martial arts training, and coaches can gain more experience in training and education to find potential factors. Thereby, they will receive support and professional conditions from coaches in the Executive Board of the Binh Thuan Taekwondo Federation, to develop further” - said Mr. Le Dong Tam, head of the Taekwondo Club of Le Loi Secondary and High School.

The quarterly belt upgrading exam is also held to build and develop school sports as well as maintain the sports and physical training movement for students at all levels.
