Three patients with severe poisoning from eating strange mushrooms in Phu Quoc were transferred to Kien Giang General Hospital for treatment and are now out of danger and gradually recovering their health.

On the afternoon of April 28, Kien Giang General Hospital said that at around 10:00 a.m. on April 26, Ms. TTL, Ms. LTH and Mr. L. - who were severely poisoned after eating strange mushrooms in Phu Quoc - were admitted to the hospital in a state of excitement, breathing oxygen... At the same time, through the patient's medical history and examination, the doctor washed the patient's stomach and treated the symptoms.

After two days of active treatment, the above patients have passed the critical stage and are gradually recovering their health.

Doctors transferred Mr. L. and Mrs. H. to the hospital's general internal medicine department for treatment, and they are expected to be discharged home this week. Mrs. L. still has a fever, so the doctors are monitoring her for further treatment.

The remaining people were poisoned by eating strange mushrooms in Phu Quoc but the poisoning was mild. Everyone was treated at Phu Quoc City Medical Center and their health has stabilized.

Previously, Tuoi Tre Online reported that on the evening of April 25, Phu Quoc City Medical Center received 10 residents from Cua Duong Commune, Bai Thom for emergency treatment in a state of abdominal pain, vomiting, and some people fell into a coma.

The doctor examined and diagnosed suspected food poisoning due to eating strange mushrooms picked in the Phu Quoc forest. Among them, Mr. L., Mrs. L. and Mrs. H. were severely poisoned and were transferred to Kien Giang Provincial General Hospital for treatment.

Phu Quoc is currently experiencing rain, so many types of mushrooms grow in the forest. Phu Quoc City Medical Center recommends that people should not pick strange mushrooms in the forest to cook and eat, to avoid affecting their health.
