Impressions from the photo exhibition at the 'Vietnam - Laos Special Friendship Festival'

SKĐS - As part of the "Vietnam - Laos Special Friendship Festival 2023" program, a photo exhibition with four themes attracted much attention and interest.

On the morning of November 11th, in Hue City, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), in coordination with the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, held the opening ceremony of the "Vietnam - Laos Special Friendship Festival 2023" program to commemorate the 61st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos (1962 - 2023) and the 46th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries (1977 - 2023).

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam stated that the relationship between Vietnam and Laos is a special, great, and rare traditional relationship in the world, both during the historical period of national liberation struggle and in the process of development and international integration today.

Over six decades after the official establishment of diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962), the two countries have achieved many significant accomplishments in all fields, becoming a great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. In particular, cooperation in the field of information and communication, especially telecommunications, information technology, and journalism and media, has achieved many very proud results.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Lam shared that the "Vietnam - Laos Special Friendship Festival 2023" program is a significant event, contributing to promoting cooperation in the field of information and communication within the framework of the intergovernmental agreement on digital partnership, digital transformation of journalism, handling fake news and harmful information, improving digital skills for people, aiming towards a safe and healthy digital environment, and transforming from information to knowledge.

As part of the "Vietnam - Laos Special Friendship Festival 2023" program, a series of events will take place, including: a photo exhibition, a trade fair and exhibition, a scientific seminar on the theme "Prospects for Vietnam - Laos Media Cooperation: Challenges and Solutions," along with cultural and artistic exchange activities between the people of Vietnam and Laos.

The exhibition, held in the lobby of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Film and Culture Center, featured a total of 200 photographs. The exhibition was divided into four themes: 61 years of special friendship between Vietnam and Laos; Vietnam and Laos on the path of development; Outstanding achievements in Vietnam-Laos cooperation in the field of information and communication; and Thua Thien Hue accompanying the development of the country...

The photo exhibition attracted many delegates and citizens, especially members of youth organizations, young people, and students, who showed great interest and followed the event.
