The Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has issued a decision appointing the first Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 41 members; appointing Mr. Phan Duy Bang as Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Youth Union; and appointing Ms. Thi Phuong Hong, Mr. Du Pham Huu Khuyen, and Ms. Ho Thi Hong Phuong as Deputy Secretaries of the An Giang Provincial Youth Union for the 2025-2030 term.

The Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has appointed 16 official delegates and 4 alternate delegates to attend the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, for the term 2026-2031.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province, delivered a speech guiding the congress.

In her address to the congress, Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province, requested the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee to continue researching, innovating, and further improving the quality of political, ideological, moral, lifestyle, and legal awareness education for union members and young people, in conjunction with effectively implementing the study and emulation of the thoughts, morals, and style of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang.

Youth Union branches at all levels need to closely link their activities with the political tasks of the province and of each locality and unit, especially in socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security; actively build a strong Youth Union organization to contribute to Party building. “Proactively research and create many forms of gathering and mobilizing young people to participate in revolutionary action movements and patriotic emulation campaigns, especially in remote areas, border regions, and islands, where the pioneering, volunteer, and leading role of young people is greatly needed,” emphasized Comrade Tran Thi Thanh Huong.

The Youth Union needs to continue to closely coordinate with all levels and sectors in providing career guidance, vocational training, job placement, support for young people starting businesses, establishing careers, and accessing loans for production and business, contributing to improving the lives and fostering the creative abilities of young people.

Following the merger, all levels of the Youth Union need to strive and be determined to build a strong and comprehensive Youth Union and other youth organizations, capable of assuming a leading and core role in the youth movement, in association work, and in guiding the development of the Young Pioneers organization…

The An Giang Provincial Youth Union presented a symbolic plaque representing the awarding of 500 online English scholarships to children in border and island areas.

With the action slogan: “Courage - Unity - Creativity - Aspiration - Development”, the Congress voted to adopt the Resolution of the First Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province, term 2025 - 2030, striving to achieve the following targets:

Delegates vote to approve the congress resolution.

Annually, 100% of youth union members participate in at least 3 volunteer activities organized by the Youth Union and youth associations; at least 112 youth projects at all levels participate in the development and application of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; at least 1 environmental pollution hotspot is selected and eliminated; at least 1 youth project is implemented to support the construction or upgrading of infrastructure in communes, wards, and special zones in border and island areas.

By the end of the term, support at least 50 innovative youth startup projects; introduce at least 30,000 outstanding Youth Union members to the Party for consideration of admission and strive to fulfill the target assigned by the Party committee regarding the recruitment of new Party members from Youth Union members…
