In recent years, Bac Ninh province has been the leading locality in the country in promptly promulgating and implementing policies, mechanisms and strategies on culture, sports and tourism.
In the cultural field, the whole province currently has 1,589 relics, of which 643 are ranked, including 4 special national relics, 204 national relics, 435 provincial relics and 14 artifacts and groups of artifacts recognized as national treasures.

In particular, the dossier of "Dong Ho folk painting craft" has been sent to UNESCO to be included in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. Fulfilling its commitment to UNESCO, Bac Ninh has implemented many projects and programs to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritages, especially Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs with an investment of hundreds of billions of VND.
Known as a famous tourist destination in the journey to discover the unique heritage sites of Vietnam, Bac Ninh annually welcomes a relatively large number of visitors, mainly visitors to festivals, research historical and cultural relics of communal houses, temples, pagodas... most concentrated during the festival season.
Bac Ninh has 4 intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO: Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, Ca Tru, Tug of war rituals and games; practice of the Vietnamese Mother Goddess worship; 8 heritages included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List; 62 traditional craft villages; more than 500 festivals and a variety of folk performing arts such as: Tuong, Cheo, water puppetry, Ca Tru, Trong Quan singing... In addition, throughout the districts, towns and cities in the province, there are about 1,600 relics, 13 groups of National Treasures with outstanding values. It is a huge treasure of cultural heritage, crystallizing and shining the rich history, culture, traditions, and fine customs of the homeland and country.

In order to promote the outstanding advantages of cultural tourism resources in the context of international integration, the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, prioritizes tourism development and affirms "Preserving and promoting the values of tangible and intangible cultural heritage; focusing resources on preserving and promoting the values of special national relics, typical national relics, Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, Ca Tru singing, traditional folk performing arts, Dong Ho folk painting craft, typical traditional craft villages... associated with tourism development".
Aiming to preserve and promote tangible and intangible cultural identity associated with tourism development, the Project "Promoting the value of cultural heritage associated with tourism development in Bac Ninh province in the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030" aims to welcome and serve over 5 million visitors, with revenue of about 4.5 trillion VND, making Bac Ninh province a major cultural tourism center of the country. The goal by 2030 is to make Bac Ninh one of the major cultural tourism centers of the Red River Delta and the whole country.
Appreciating the achievements of Bac Ninh province in the fields of culture, sports, tourism and family, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that culture must originate from the grassroots, from each family home to the residential community. "From expanding cultural spaces, cultural institutions, then building places to restore the craft of making Dong Ho paintings, building Quan Ho Folk Song Theater as a highlight. At the same time, proactively work with investors to form cultural institutions in clusters and industrial parks, aiming to organize a campaign to build corporate culture, business culture, including the criteria of law compliance and social responsibility".
Currently, Bac Ninh Province has requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to speed up the completion of the planning for the preservation, renovation and restoration of four special national relics including: Dau Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, Phat Tich Pagoda, Tombs and temples of the Ly Dynasty kings; increase investment in developing the cultural, sports and tourism career for Bac Ninh Province; prioritize the allocation of resources to implement projects for the preservation of intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, the archaeological site of Dam Pagoda and historical - cultural relics...
With its tourism potential, Bac Ninh has been linking with neighboring provinces and cities, especially Hanoi, to develop tourism, especially cultural tourism, to promote the advantages of national relics and special national relics./.
