By the end of 2023, Bac Son district has 12/17 new rural communes, including 2 advanced new rural communes and 2 model new rural communes, with an average of 15.41 criteria per commune per commune.
In 2024, Bac Son district strives to have Tan Thanh commune meet the new rural standards, Hung Vu commune strives to meet the advanced new rural standards; Bac Quynh and Vu Son communes strive to meet the model new rural standards; on average, each commune in the district meets 15.8 criteria or more. This is the district with the most communes striving to meet the new rural standards of all types in the province in 2024.
Compared to communes striving to meet NTM standards, communes striving to meet advanced NTM standards and model NTM standards have fewer State investment resources and many indicators and criteria that require the cooperation and contribution of people and businesses.

Mr. Loc Quang Hoa, Vice Chairman of Bac Son District People's Committee, said: Right from the first months of 2024, the District People's Committee has directed specialized agencies to coordinate in organizing training, promoting propaganda and mobilization in many forms to mobilize people's efforts to implement the criteria.
Specifically, in the first 6 months of 2024, relevant agencies organized 3 training courses on building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas for 285 cadres working on building new rural areas and people in key communes; organized integrated propaganda on building new rural areas through conferences and activities with more than 300 meetings with more than 20,000 listeners; coordinated propaganda on mass media with over 200 news and articles; conducted 8 mobile propaganda sessions; integrated propaganda through the program "weekend with the people"...
Through propaganda and mobilization work, people better understand the purpose and meaning of the program to build new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas and actively join hands and contribute to its implementation. Mr. Trieu Tien Tho, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Binh An Village, Tan Thanh Commune, said: The village has 116 households, 100% of whom are Dao ethnic people. In recent years, through propaganda work, people in the village have better understood the purpose and meaning of the program, thereby actively joining hands to implement the criteria. From the beginning of 2024 to now, people in the village have donated 160 square meters of land, 110 million VND and more than 100 laborers to join hands to implement the criteria of traffic, environment, and cultural facilities.
Along with the people of Binh An village, Tan Thanh commune, people from other communes in the district have also actively joined hands and contributed to implementing the criteria. Specifically, from the beginning of 2024 to now, people have contributed over 50,000 laborers, nearly 1.8 billion VND in cash and over 5,000 m2 of land to join hands to implement the criteria of traffic, irrigation, cultural facilities and environment (of which 4 key communes alone contributed over 3,000 laborers, donated over 3,900 m2 of land and contributed 1.32 billion VND)...
In addition to mobilizing resources from the people, since the beginning of 2024, the People's Committee of Bac Son district has continued to coordinate with agencies to call for and mobilize social resources to build new rural areas from agencies, units and enterprises. Mr. Dinh Trong Canh, Director of Huy Hoang Company Limited, Lang Son city said: To join hands with Bac Son district to build new rural areas, in 2024, the unit supported Tan Thanh commune with 10 million VND to support the commune in carrying out some tasks related to building new rural areas.
Not only Huy Hoang Company Limited, but also a number of other agencies, units and enterprises have supported Bac Son district with resources to build new rural areas. Specifically, from the beginning of 2024 to now, units and enterprises have supported the district with 85 million VND in cash and some construction materials, trash bins... for 4 pilot communes to build new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas in Bac Son district.
With the joint efforts and contributions of the people and the State's investment resources, the implementation of new rural construction in Bac Son district continues to achieve positive results. Up to now, on average, each commune in Bac Son district has achieved 15.88 criteria, an increase of 0.47 criteria compared to the end of 2023 and exceeding the annual plan; Tan Thanh commune has achieved 13/19 new rural criteria, an increase of 2 criteria compared to the beginning of 2024; Hung Vu commune has achieved 9/19 criteria for advanced new rural communes, an increase of 5 criteria compared to the beginning of 2024; Bac Quynh and Vu Son communes have progressed in building model new rural communes of about 50%, an increase of 20% compared to the beginning of 2024...
Currently, the People's Committee of Bac Son district continues to focus on directing specialized agencies and People's Committees of communes to focus on accelerating the implementation of unachieved targets and criteria. In particular, it continues to promote propaganda, advocacy, and mobilization of social resources; continues to integrate calling for and mobilizing social resources to build new rural areas through events and festivals at the grassroots level; calls on children in the commune who are working and living outside the province to support... Thereby creating more resources to support communes to complete the criteria to contribute to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of building new rural areas in 2024.
