From early morning, people from all the villages in Den Sang commune came to the resettlement area to celebrate with the local residents. The resettlement area is planned on a large hillside, with rows of houses designed along contour lines, resembling terraced rice fields – a characteristic cultural feature of the highland people. From afar, the resettlement area looks both familiar and striking, giving the local people a warm and welcoming feeling.

The project was implemented in accordance with Decision 5361/QD-BQP dated November 11, 2024, of the Ministry of National Defense approving the emergency construction order for the resettlement project in At Thuong village, Minh Xuan commune, Luc Yen district, Yen Bai province, and Ky Quan San village, Sang Ma Sao commune, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province (now Ma Mu Su village, Lao Cai province). Immediately after receiving the land handed over by the local authorities, Military Region 2 promptly organized the commencement of construction.

Despite challenging construction conditions and transportation challenges due to unfavorable terrain and weather, including frequent floods, the determination to complete and hand over the houses to the local community and people as soon as possible has resulted in the construction of 60 houses along with accompanying infrastructure, meeting all technical requirements.

Colonel Nguyen Minh Hai, Deputy General Director of Corporation 789, said: "The construction process faced many difficulties due to the complex terrain and unpredictable weather, but the soldiers and workers of the unit worked with the highest determination in the spirit of 'overcoming the sun and rain,' and '3 shifts, 4 teams' so that the people in the flood-affected areas could stabilize their lives as soon as possible."
