Implementing the housing support project for poor and near-poor households in the 2023-2025 period, Thuan Bac district was approved to support 10 "Great Solidarity" houses for truly poor people facing housing difficulties. The total value of each house supported is at least 100 million VND/house, of which Ninh Thuan Lottery Company Limited supported 8 houses and Dong Thap Lottery Company Limited supported 2 houses, each valued at 50 million VND; the provincial budget contributed 20 million VND and the district's "For the Poor" Fund contributed 20 million VND; the remainder was contributed by the families. After more than 3 months of construction, the houses were completed on schedule and handed over to the households. Each house has a minimum construction area of 32m2, and the house structure meets the "3 solid" standard (solid foundation, solid frame/walls, and solid roof).
Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, along with local leaders and businesses, presented gifts to families who received houses in Thuan Bac district.
Speaking at the house handover ceremony, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province highly appreciated the attention and guidance of the Party Committee and the government, the strong and decisive involvement of the Fatherland Front system at all levels in Thuan Bac district, and the proactive efforts of the households in implementing the Project according to the set schedule; acknowledging the noble gestures of the businesses that have accompanied and supported the funding in caring for the poor, helping people have stable housing and feel secure in developing their economy . To ensure the effective implementation of the Project, he requested that in the coming time, the locality should urgently continue to review and compile statistics on poor households facing housing difficulties to develop a support plan, in accordance with the Prime Minister's campaign to "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" by 2025; Families who already have stable housing need to proactively overcome difficulties, make greater efforts, and not rely on the State. They should strive to develop their family's economy themselves, thereby creating a strong ripple effect in the community and working together to escape poverty sustainably. At the same time, we hope that businesses, philanthropists, and benefactors will continue to join hands in supporting resources to care for the poor, ensuring that no one is left behind…
