The scenario that appears with the highest frequency brings Spain to meet Uruguay in group 2, Saudi Arabia in group 3 and Haiti in group 4. A group considered to be of average difficulty, in which coach Marcelo Bielsa's Uruguay is the most obvious challenge.
However, the simulations also open up a much worse prospect. Spain could very well end up in a group with Croatia, Morocco or Colombia, teams capable of competing fairly in Pot 2. The draw takes place in the early morning of December 6 in Washington DC and will decide whether Spain faces a challenge or an opportunity to advance from the group stage.
