In order to ensure supply-demand balance, avoid shortages of goods, keep market prices stable and facilitate people to prepare for the New Year of the Dragon, the Provincial People's Committee has just issued and implemented a plan to stabilize the market at the end of 2023 and the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024.

The Provincial People's Committee requests relevant departments, branches, localities, traders and enterprises to implement market stabilization work to ensure the right subjects and right products are stabilized. Points of sale participating in the market stabilization program must seriously implement the core program and must have a spreading influence in the region to bring high economic efficiency.

The stabilization period is 3 months, starting from January 11, 2024 (December 1, year of the Cat) to April 10, 2023 (March 2, year of the Dragon).

Market stabilization points of sale in the province include places where traders participating in the program have registered and been selected and approved by the Department of Industry and Trade, and at the fair celebrating the Party and Spring of Thai Binh 2024 held in Thai Binh city.

Commodities participating in market stabilization include: rice and products processed from rice; livestock and poultry meat and products processed from livestock and poultry meat; aquatic and seafood products and products processed from aquatic and seafood; cooking oil, fish sauce, MSG, sugar and gasoline.

In addition to requiring state management agencies to strengthen supervision of business activities and goods circulation, the Provincial People's Committee also requested the business community and traders to boost production and business, build market confidence, increase productivity and output of essential goods to meet people's consumption needs.
