The education sector is coordinating with relevant units to deploy plans to ensure adequate supply of textbooks and teaching equipment for the new school year 2025-2026.

The new school year 2025 - 2026 is approaching, the preparation of textbooks and learning equipment is an important factor, ensuring the quality of teaching and learning from the beginning of the school year. The supply of textbooks and learning equipment not only meets the needs of students and teachers but also contributes to the formation of a modern and effective educational environment.

According to the assessment of textbook suppliers, the 2025-2026 school year has many advantages in terms of inheritance in market distribution: students from grades 1 to 12 all study according to the 2018 General Education Program; educational institutions and textbook suppliers have connected information about demand (quantity, specific book sets)...

Parents buy school supplies at a bookstore on Truong Chinh Street, Buon Ma Thuot Ward.

Ms. Tran Thi Bich Chau, Vice Principal of Lac Long Quan Primary School (Tuy Hoa Ward) shared: “The school has chosen the Creative Horizon textbooks for teaching and learning for many years, so parents can go to stores and bookstores to buy them for their children. The school also encourages students to keep the textbooks carefully to give to students in the next class, contributing to saving costs for parents during the back-to-school season.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong in Tuy Hoa ward confided: “My husband and I have 2 children (grade 5 and grade 3) who both attend Au Co Primary School (Tuy Hoa ward). The school chose the Creative Horizon textbook series for teaching and learning, so after the end of the school year, I kept the older child’s textbooks for the younger child to study, so I don’t have to struggle to buy textbooks for my children.”

Parents with good economic conditions will donate old textbooks to schools and students in disadvantaged areas to buy new, uniform books for their children. Ms. Tran Thao Nguyen (Buon Ma Thuot Ward) whose children study at Phan Chu Trinh Primary School and Phan Chu Trinh Secondary School said that the Education Bookstore (Truong Chinh Street, Buon Ma Thuot Ward) has enough textbooks for all grades. Some books are expected to have changes in content (Geography and History), she has to wait for the school to announce a specific list of textbooks, so buying books is slower than in previous years. In return, the price of textbooks and school supplies has decreased by 5-10%, so parents are very excited.

Official dispatch No. 4060/BGDĐT-GDPT dated July 17, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training on strengthening the direction of implementing the general education program and textbooks for the 2025-2026 school year clearly states that general education institutions continue to use selected textbooks; teachers proactively review and adjust the language of lessons/topics in textbooks to suit the practical arrangement of administrative boundaries and two-level local government.

For subjects affected by changes in administrative boundaries, the Ministry of Education and Training will take steps according to regulations to revise the subject curriculum as a basis for revising textbooks. Thus, the selection of textbooks for the new school year 2025 - 2026 will basically remain the same as in previous school years with the main book series being Creative Horizon, Connecting Knowledge and Life, Canh Dieu, etc.

Director of Phu Yen Book and School Equipment Joint Stock Company Dang Thi Diem said that schools in the eastern part of the province mainly use the textbooks Creative Horizon, Knowledge Connection and Life, and Kite. The unit has proactively provided early supplies to 18 level 1 agents in the area for distribution to retail outlets in communes and wards.

Staff of the Education Bookstore (Buon Ma Thuot ward) prepare books for delivery according to orders from the commune-level bookstore.

For the western region of the province, students use books from many different series depending on the subject; the most popular is the series Connecting knowledge and life.

Mr. Truong Van Bang, Director of Dak Lak School Equipment and Books Joint Stock Company, said that terrain, population, and living standards are clearly differentiated, so the supply of textbooks has certain difficulties.

The unit has proactively prepared a quantity of textbooks and teaching equipment for all schools in the province based on information about the book selection situation of schools and orders from small bookstores in the area.

However, some books were printed later this year, so there will be a local shortage of books in some localities. The company will try to ensure enough quantity and books for stores in communes and wards starting from August 15.
