New details about the case of a student being called out by the vice principal to sweep trash in the hot sun

(NLDO) - After students were called out to sweep trash in the hot sun, 8 teachers filed a complaint against the vice principal for abusing his power and behaving inappropriately.

On November 4, the leader of the People's Committee of Van Duc commune, Gia Lai province said that the locality is clarifying the contents of the reflection related to Mr. Pham Minh Trung, Vice Principal of An Thanh Secondary School.

"Eight teachers have submitted petitions to report that Mr. Trung abused his power, violated students' rights, and behaved inappropriately toward teachers. Due to the large number of petitions and accompanying documents, more time is needed to verify objectively," informed the leader of Van Duc Commune People's Committee.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 27, the inspection team led by Mr. Ho Gia Dinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Duc commune, worked with the Board of Directors of An Thanh Secondary School to record feedback related to management work.

As of October 29, the working group received 4 complaints with documents from teachers of LTMP, HTBH, VTH and TMC, but there has been no explanatory report from the principal and vice principal.

According to the parents’ feedback, at around 1:50 p.m. on October 2, when students of classes 8A3 and 9A1 were in their first period, Mr. Pham Minh Trung entered the classroom and asked to stop the class so that the students could go out to the yard to sweep the trash in the hot sun. Mr. Trung also asked the teacher to make up for the lesson on the morning of October 6.

In addition, another class period of class 6A1 was also interrupted when Mr. Trung entered the classroom to check the teaching equipment and loudly asked the teacher to go to the office to work, making the students worried.

Mr. Pham Minh Trung denied the above reflection, saying that he only reminded teachers and students to practice good hygiene, and did not yell or have any personal motives.

Van Duc Commune People's Committee said it will continue to clarify the case and organize dialogue between the parties before issuing a conclusion.
