On September 26, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance officially announced the rearrangement of name, organizational structure, office and management area, effective from October 1, 2025.
Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance has its headquarters at 5 Nguyen Dong Chi, Tan My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The unit is responsible for general management of the entire city and directly manages three wards: Phu Thuan, Tan My and Tan Hung.
According to the announcement, the organizational structure includes 9 functional departments: Department of Collection Management and Participant Development, Department of Social Insurance Regime; Department of Health Insurance Regime, Department of Planning - Finance, Department of Inspection, Department of Personnel Organization, Department of Propaganda and Participant Support, Department of Information Technology and Digital Transformation and Office. These are the key focal points performing the function of advising and implementing professional tasks.
Notably, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance currently has 33 affiliated grassroots social insurance agencies, distributed in many locations, from the city center to districts, towns and neighboring areas.
Specifically, the Social Insurance at Tan Dinh, Nhieu Loc, Xom Chieu, Cho Lon, Binh Tien, Chanh Hung, Hoa Hung, Binh Thoi, Thoi An, An Lac, Binh Thanh, Hanh Thong, Cau Kieu, Tan Son Hoa, Tan Phu, Cat Lai, Thu Duc, Tan Nhut, Tan An Hoi, Hoc Mon, Nha Be, Tam Thang, Ba Ria, Phu My, Dat Do, Con Dao, Tan Uyen, Binh Duong , Di An, Ben Cat, Lai Thieu, Dau Tieng and Bac Tan Uyen.
Some facilities currently under construction will temporarily operate at other locations to ensure the reception and processing of applications, such as the Tan Dinh and Phu My Social Insurance facilities.
Along with the establishment and reorganization, from October 1, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance announced the cessation of operations of 6 Social Insurance bases in Can Gio, Ngai Giao, Long Dien, Ho Tram, Bau Bang and Phu Giao. These areas will be reallocated to other units to streamline the organization and facilitate management.
Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance recommends that agencies, units, businesses employing laborers, medical facilities and people take note of this change for convenience in transactions.
