On the afternoon of October 22, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City confirmed that the information circulating on the internet about the City People's Committee issuing a document directing the suspension of work and markets from the afternoon of October 22 due to storm No. 12 is fake and untrue.

This is false information, causing public confusion, affecting the direction and management of storm prevention and control work of Da Nang city government. The authorities will strictly handle according to the law for acts of spreading and sharing false information.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism recommends that people, organizations and businesses follow official information on response to storm No. 12 and heavy rains on the Danang City Electronic Information Portal (https://danang.gov.vn), the social network ecosystem of the City Electronic Information Portal, and central and local press agencies, to promptly grasp and properly implement the government's direction.

Authorities recommend that people be vigilant and not share or spread unverified information to avoid causing panic in the community.
