Thai newspaper commented when FAT came to apologize to VFF for the wrong Vietnamese national flag

(Dan Tri) - Thai newspapers reported that the Thai Football Association (FAT) sent a representative to Vietnam to apologize after the incident of mistaking the national flag. FAT expressed its sincerity and respect to VFF and the Vietnamese people.

After sending the dispatch, yesterday afternoon (October 29), FAT sent Vice President Adisak Benjasiriwan to personally apologize to VFF and the Vietnamese people after the incident of using the wrong national flag during the draw ceremony for the U19 and U16 Southeast Asian futsal tournament.

The FAT leader emphasized that there was absolutely no intention to offend Vietnam or the Vietnamese people, but that this incident was just a personal mistake. The Thai football governing body emphasized that it always absolutely respects countries in the region.

Commenting on this move, Khaosod (Thailand) newspaper wrote: “Immediately after the incident of mistakenly displaying the Vietnamese national flag, FAT sent a letter of apology to VFF and the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF). Not only that, FAT President, Madam Pang, also sent Vice President Adisak Benjasiriwan to apologize in person the following afternoon.

He expressed his sincerity and affirmed that this incident was unintentional and stemmed from a personal mistake. FAT had no intention of offending the country and people of Vietnam. VFF also understands that this was an unintended incident. FAT pledges not to make similar mistakes in the future."

Khaosod commented that the meeting went smoothly, with goodwill from both sides. VFF and FAT expressed their desire to continue maintaining the cooperative relationship and mutual respect between the two football backgrounds.

Siam Sport newspaper confirmed that FAT had shown goodwill and sincerity by going to apologize to VFF and the Vietnamese people. The meeting between FAT and VFF went smoothly. Both sides said that this was just an unexpected incident. The Thai Football Federation pledged not to let the same thing happen again.

Matichon newspaper wrote: “FAT representatives directly apologized to VFF and the Vietnamese people for the incident of misusing the national flag”. In it, they emphasized that the meeting between the two sides went well.

Meanwhile, Thaiger newspaper affirmed: “FAT made a serious mistake when it mistakenly used the Vietnamese national flag as the Chinese national flag during the live broadcast. The Thai football management agency came to apologize to VFF and affirmed that this was not an intentional mistake, but only a personal mistake. FAT sincerely hopes that VFF and the Vietnamese people will forgive this unintentional mistake.”
