Any global summit on Ukraine without Russia is meaningless

Speaking in an interview on March 26, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said any global summit on Ukraine without Russia is meaningless and will fail.

According to Mr. Peskov, Moscow will not stop the two-year conflict with Ukraine to protect itself from the West.

Russia has rejected a plan by the European Union (EU) and other countries to profit from controlling Russian assets and transferring them to Ukraine.

Previously, on March 21, one day before the shooting in Moscow, Mr. Peskov took a similar stance when he affirmed that the Ukraine issue could not be resolved without Russia's participation.

In the past, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for a global peace summit.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Switzerland also proposed to host the event, but has not announced the date.
