Expecting new momentum for Vietnam's cultural industry
Speaking at the opening ceremony on the afternoon of July 24, Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong - Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) - emphasized that the advertising industry is increasingly becoming an important pillar in Vietnam's cultural industry ecosystem.
Ms. Huong cited that on August 29, 2024, the Prime Minister signed and issued Directive No. 30/CT-TTg on the development of cultural industries. This is a key strategy to build a cultural ecosystem integrating high technology, encouraging innovation and enhancing national competitiveness.
Ms. Huong assessed that Vietnam Advertising and Entertainment Week 2025 is a practical event, contributing to realizing the goal of professionalizing, modernizing, digitalizing and internationalizing cultural industries according to the Cultural Development Strategy to 2030.
"We expect this year's event to create new momentum, inspire innovation for the business community, and help the Vietnamese advertising industry affirm its role as an important link in the national creative industry value chain," Ms. Huong emphasized.

Sharing at the event, Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Advertising Association, affirmed that after more than 30 years of development, the Vietnamese advertising industry has grown remarkably, from a young field to an indispensable part of the modern marketing strategy of businesses.
"The Vietnamese advertising industry is quickly adapting to the globalization trend. Digital advertising, social networks, multimedia communications and especially artificial intelligence (AI) are playing a key role in shaping messages and reaching consumers," Mr. Son emphasized.
He also said that in addition to innovation in form, the quality of services in the advertising industry has also changed dramatically. Businesses not only provide creative ideas but also develop comprehensive solutions such as consulting on communication strategies, branding, customer data management and evaluating campaign effectiveness in real time.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dao, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Advertising Association (HAA), emphasized that Vietnam Advertising and Entertainment Week 2025 is not only a professional meeting place but also an open playground for young people, students and the domestic and international creative community.
A new highlight this year is the final round of the "StudentLive - Closing Arena" competition, which took place on the opening day on the TikTok Shop e-commerce platform. The competition attracted more than 300 entries from students, individuals and businesses nationwide.
"This is not only a creative playground but also helps students approach the reality of the e-commerce market, practice sales skills, build content and better understand digital transformation in the advertising industry," Mr. Dao shared.
Taking place in parallel is the 4th Vietnam International Exhibition on Electricity, Energy, Industrial Machinery and Automation - EMA Vietnam 2025 organized by Dong Nam Advertising and Trade Promotion Joint Stock Company in collaboration with Khang Phat International Joint Stock Company.
The event introduces a series of advanced technologies such as electrical cabinets, medium and low voltage grid equipment, inverters, sensors, booster pumps, industrial valves, conveyors, industrial computers and IOT solutions.
