Election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term

On December 6, the Department of Home Affairs organized a training conference on professional work on the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term for over 160 delegates who are members of the Expert Team assisting the Provincial Election Committee; Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the Commune-level Election Committee; representatives of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs and specialists directly carrying out the commune-level election work in the area.

At the conference, reporters from the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial Police and the Provincial Inspectorate introduced key contents related to the election preparation process, including: instructions on dividing constituencies and voting areas; establishing organizations in charge of elections; structure, composition and number of candidates recommended for election; preparing and posting voter lists; responsibilities of organizations in charge of elections; professional procedures of election teams before and on election day; receiving candidacy dossiers and handling situations arising during the implementation of tasks.

The conference deployed instructions on counting votes, making minutes of counting votes; summarizing election results; information and reporting regime of the Commune and Ward Election Committees. In addition, delegates were informed about registering new seals and recalling seals; exploiting the National Population Database and applying VNeID identification in making lists and printing voter cards; and instructions on declaring assets and income in candidates' profiles.

Through the training, delegates were fully updated with new regulations, mastered the professional skills of organizing elections, and resolved difficulties in the implementation process. Thereby, ensuring that the preparation work of localities in the province is carried out in a unified and effective manner. This is an important basis for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term to be organized in accordance with the law, safely and democratically.
