Total direct revenue of nearly 1,000 billion VND

On the evening of November 3, the first Autumn Fair (HCMT) officially closed after 10 days of organization. The Prime Minister attended the closing ceremony.

Summarizing HCMT, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the Fair attracted an average of 100,000 visitors per day, the highest among domestic trade promotion events. “The scale and number of visitors far exceeded previous fairs, demonstrating the strong appeal of Vietnamese products and consumers’ confidence in domestic goods,” the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, trading and buying and selling activities were bustling, with an average revenue of 300 million VND/standard booth/10 days, and a total direct revenue of nearly 1,000 billion VND, of which the local booth area reached 50 billion VND. The total value of transactions, contracts and memorandums of understanding (MoU) reached nearly 5,000 billion VND, with the local area alone reaching nearly 500 billion VND. These figures show that the Fair is not only a place to promote products but also a "real trading floor", helping businesses find partners, expand supply chains and develop export markets.

Within the framework of the Fair, the Organizing Committee has organized 11 conferences, seminars, thematic forums, selected 30 typical booths and continuously organized international trade programs with businesses from Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, New Zealand and the European Union; recorded more than 100 cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding signed. These activities clearly demonstrate the orientation of shifting from simple trade promotion to comprehensive trade promotion, linking trade - investment - innovation and digital transformation.

Mr. Le Ngoc Anh - CEO of Le Gia, a traditional fish sauce manufacturer, said that in HCM City, more than 10,000 Le Gia fish sauce, fish sauce, and instant processed food seasoning products have reached customers. More than 50 partners have contacted for cooperation, including 10 partners planning to export to European, Japanese, and American markets.

“Most importantly, it is the opportunity to be invited to try and approach tens of thousands of customers during the Fair” - Mr. Le Gia shared. This is also the opinion of many businesses when participating in the Fair. Most of them affirmed that the greatest value is not only selling products, but also “selling the brand story” - the story of a Vietnamese business that is striving to bring quality, convenient and friendly products to consumers.

The Autumn Fair is a real trade promotion platform.

Mr. Do Viet Phuong - Vietnam Trade Office in Cambodia said that HCMT is the first fair that Cambodian enterprises have participated in Vietnam but the results have exceeded expectations. Accordingly, in just the first few days of the Fair, Cambodian enterprises have approached many potential partners, including large distributors in the Northern region.

Many foreign business delegations attending the Fair all assessed HCMT as a substantial promotion platform. Mr. Ly Chan Dan - Commercial Counselor, Chinese Embassy in Vietnam assessed that HCMT is a national economic and cultural event of Vietnam, opening up an integrated platform between trade, investment, culture - tourism and innovation. This is a reliable cooperation playground for investors and trade partners in the region as well as in the world.

Leading a delegation of 20 leading New Zealand enterprises - the largest direct trade promotion delegation of New Zealand in Vietnam in the past 5 years, Ms. Liz Bell - Executive Director of the ASEAN - New Zealand Business Council affirmed the increasing level of interest and expectation of New Zealand enterprises in the dynamic market of Vietnam - the manufacturing hub of Southeast Asia. In particular, the delegation not only seeks cooperation in traditional fields but New Zealand also wants to expand cooperation to new fields where the two countries have much potential and strength.

It can be said that the success of HCMT has opened a new driving force for the country's socio-economic development in the coming period. The remaining task is for ministries, branches, agencies, units and localities to effectively promote the opportunities, commitments, contracts and agreements formed at the Fair; transform the results of trade into specific projects, products and jobs, making practical contributions to economic growth, market development and increasing people's income.
