At Long Dai Ferry Terminal II (Truong Ninh commune), in September 1972, during two fierce bombing raids by the US Air Force, 16 young volunteer soldiers from Company C130, D2, F571, Regiment 559 bravely sacrificed their lives on the Truong Son front line. This was a vital transportation hub, playing a crucial role in supporting the supply lines from the North to the South.

In addition, Song Trung Temple and the tombs of Hoang Vinh To and Hoang Vinh Du (Tan Gianh commune) have also been classified as National Monuments. These sites are dedicated to Hoang Vinh To and his son, Hoang Vinh Du, great officials of the late Le Dynasty who contributed to protecting their homeland.
The ranking of these two historical sites is not only a profound tribute to those who sacrificed and dedicated themselves to the nation, but also contributes to educating the tradition of patriotism, fostering national pride for present and future generations, and creating an important foundation for the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values.
