Sharing at the donation ceremony, Professor Dao Van Long said that the donation of the modern digestive endoscopy system from Fujifilm (Japan) to Ba Vi General Hospital comes from the desire to accompany grassroots healthcare , where the need for equipment for diagnosis and treatment is still lacking and needs to be invested and supported so that people can access quality medical services right at the local level, instead of having to travel to higher levels.
This is a modern device that some central hospitals do not have yet, but is now available at Ba Vi General Hospital, contributing to a strong transformation for local healthcare and giving people the opportunity to access high-tech services close to home.
At the same time, with this modern endoscopy system, the medical team at Ba Vi General Hospital will have more conditions to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, especially the ability to detect early digestive tract diseases, including cancer. Early detection of disease means better treatment opportunities, reducing the burden on both patients and their families.
“On the other hand, this gift is also our family's gratitude to the health sector, and at the same time a small hope to contribute to helping local people receive care, attention and enjoy the best health services.
We believe that, with the enthusiasm and capacity of the leadership team, doctors and technicians, Ba Vi General Hospital will exploit the equipment effectively, bringing practical benefits in health care for the community," Professor Nguyen Dao Van Long emphasized.
Speaking at the reception, Director of Ba Vi General Hospital, Dr. Pham Ba Hien, expressed his deep gratitude to Professor Dao Van Long's family for the extremely valuable gift that the family gave to the grassroots hospital - where machines for diagnosis and treatment for local people are still lacking.
In particular, this is not only a material support, but also a great source of spiritual encouragement for the medical staff of Ba Vi General Hospital on their journey to serve the people's health. In the context that the hospital still lacks modern machinery for diagnosis and treatment, this gift is meant to add strength, helping the hospital have better conditions to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for local people and neighboring areas.

Along with the modern medical equipment donated, the “hands-on” training program has helped the team of doctors and technicians of Ba Vi General Hospital quickly master the techniques and skillfully operate new equipment. This is an important factor that helps the hospital boldly set the goal of improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment, gradually narrowing the gap in professional capacity between the grassroots and upper levels.
With modern machinery available locally and a team of highly specialized doctors and nurses, people will be able to enjoy high-quality medical services without having to travel to the center. Disease detection, especially dangerous diseases such as cancer, will become earlier and more accurate. This will help doctors provide timely treatment options, improve treatment effectiveness and reduce the cost burden for patients.
Dr. Pham Ba Hien added that on average, Ba Vi General Hospital receives from 1,000 to 1,200 outpatients every day.
Although, in recent times, the Hanoi Department of Health, local authorities and hospitals have invested in many modern medical machines and equipment to gradually meet the increasing health care needs of local people. However, the hospital still lacks a modern endoscopy system with full equipment, which limits the diagnosis and early detection of digestive diseases, especially cancer.
