BIDV raises standards for premium banking services

(Chinhphu.vn) - Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and Wealth Management Institute (WMI) Singapore - the leading regional and international training organization in the field of asset management and banking for high-end private clients (Private Banking) have officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

The event marks an important development step in the effort to build a team of professional property consultants meeting international standards in the Vietnamese market.

As a domestic bank honored by The Asian Banker with the best Private Banking service for three consecutive years, BIDV identifies the cooperation with WMI as a new step in its strategy to develop premium banking services, aiming at international standards in service quality and consulting capacity.

Under the agreement, BIDV becomes the first commercial bank in Vietnam and one of the pioneers in Asia to cooperate with WMI to implement a BIDV & WMI co-branded training program and grant certificates to students.

The training program, jointly developed by the two sides based on Singapore's Private Banker competency framework, helps BIDV staff achieve international professional certification, while comprehensively developing skills in asset consulting, portfolio management, financial planning - inheritance, ESG consulting and professional ethics. The first courses are expected to be held in 2025, with well-designed content, focusing on practicality, helping BIDV Private Banker team apply effectively in consulting and customer care.
