Brilliant Youth Journey at VTV

On November 3, BTV Quang Viet officially said goodbye to VTV, where he had spent his "brilliant youth journey". That journey started in November 2011 and ended in November 2025, a full 14 years with countless memories.

For Quang Viet, VTV is not only a workplace, but also a true second home: living fully with his passion for sports , working with great brothers, teachers, colleagues and friends, and having a small family here.

"That was a youth filled with only passion, no regrets, even though sometimes I had to overcome many challenges. I will always cherish and be grateful to the leaders, colleagues and friends who have always accompanied me, not only as colleagues but also as brothers in the true sense," quoted BTV Quang Viet's emotional sharing on his personal page.

Closing a journey full of memories, tomorrow will be a new journey for Quang Viet. Saying goodbye to the familiar "keywords": BTV/MC Quang Viet - working... somewhere, ahead of him will be a new environment with the same passion for football as ever.

BTV Quang Viet shared: "I don't say goodbye, because once it's in my heart, it will always be there. But I spent many days tossing and turning, unable to sleep after deciding to leave VTV. Partly because I was too attached to and loved my job, and was attached to my colleagues like a family, and partly because I wasn't used to the feeling of no longer being a part of the familiar routine of more than ten years.

For many years, the first thing I did when I woke up in the morning was to open my phone: check my work viber groups, email the news reports sent during the night, then go to the office, write the script, go on camera. Everything was repeated like that, regularly, urgently but full of enthusiasm.

For me, VTV is my second home, where the nights I spend on airing news and editing articles are sometimes more than the nights I spend at home. Saying "going to work" sounds like work, but for me, it is joy, the feeling of living fully with my passion for sports."

At the beloved VTV home, BTV Quang Viet was lucky to meet his brothers, teachers, and friends who have gone through many SEA Games, EURO, World Cup seasons, overseas business trips, sleepless nights before national team matches, or the stressful yet proud live primetime news with family and friends.

Now that he is leaving, he will certainly need time to change that habit, the habit of someone who is always attached to television. But sometimes, to become more mature, you have to dare to leave your comfort zone, just like a player who once went abroad to play.

"I have had 14 full years in the profession, with the best things that VTV has given me: environment, opportunities, and trust. Now is the time for me to try a new journey, where instead of standing on the sidelines observing, I can really step into the game, and contribute to Vietnamese football from a different perspective: the perspective of an executive and manager of a professional football team in the V-League.

I know, the road ahead still has many things to learn, it may not be smooth, but it is certainly full of excitement. Because sometimes, leaving is not because you want to end, but because you want to go further", Quang Viet expressed, before the new journey, where the role of BTV will become the new keyword of a professional football manager.
