Ministry of Education and Training proposes salary classification for intermediate and primary teachers

In the draft Circular regulating codes, appointment and salary classification for teachers teaching in public educational institutions, the Ministry of Education and Training proposed regulations on appointment and salary classification for intermediate and primary teachers.

The draft proposes regulations on appointment and salary classification for intermediate teachers. Accordingly, civil servants currently teaching at public vocational education institutions who meet the standards of professional ethics and training and development levels specified in the Intermediate Teacher Professional Standards shall be appointed to the corresponding professional title according to the following regulations:

Appointment to the professional title of intermediate practice teacher - Code V.09.02.08 for practical vocational education teachers (grade III) - Code V.09.02.08;

Appointment to the professional title of intermediate teacher - Code V.09.02.07 for theoretical vocational education teachers (grade III) - Code V.09.02.07;

Appointment to the professional title of primary secondary school teacher - Code V.09.02.06 for primary vocational education teachers (grade II) - Code V.09.02.06;

Appointment to the professional title of senior secondary school teacher - Code V.09.02.05 for senior vocational education teachers (grade I) - Code V.09.02.05.

Officials appointed to the professional positions of intermediate teachers prescribed in this Circular shall apply the corresponding salary table issued with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP, specifically as follows:

Intermediate practical teachers - Code V.09.02.08, are applied with salary coefficient of type A0 civil servants from salary coefficient 2.10 to salary coefficient 4.89;

Intermediate teachers - Code V.09.02.07, are applied with salary coefficient of type A1 civil servants from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;

Intermediate teachers - Code V.09.02.06, are applied with the salary coefficient of civil servants of type A2 group 1 (A2.1) from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78;

Senior intermediate teachers - Code: V.09.02.05, are applied with the salary coefficient of civil servants type A3 group 2 (A3.2), from salary coefficient 5.75 to salary coefficient 7.55.

The draft Circular also proposes regulations on appointment and salary classification for primary teachers. Accordingly, civil servants currently teaching at public vocational training institutions who meet the standards of professional ethics and training and development levels specified in the Primary Teacher Professional Standards shall be appointed to the corresponding professional title according to the following regulations:

Appointment to the professional title of primary teacher - Code V.09.02.09 for vocational education teachers (grade IV) - Code V.09.02.09 or practical vocational education teachers (grade III) - Code V.09.02.08;

Appointment to the professional title of primary school teacher - Code V.09.02.10 for primary vocational education teacher (grade II) - Code V.09.02.06;

Appointment to the professional title of senior primary teacher - Code V.09.02.11 for senior vocational education teachers (grade I) - Code V.09.02.05.

Officials appointed to the primary teacher professional positions prescribed in this Circular shall apply the corresponding salary table issued with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP, specifically as follows:

Primary teacher - Code V.09.02.09, applies salary coefficient of type B civil servant from salary coefficient 1.86 to salary coefficient 4.06;

Primary primary teacher - Code V.09.02.10, applies salary coefficient of type A2 group 1 (A2.2) civil servant from salary coefficient 4.0 to salary coefficient 6.38;

Senior primary teacher - Code V.09.02.11, applies salary coefficient of type A3 group 2 civil servant (A3.2), from salary coefficient 5.75 to salary coefficient 7.55.
