Appointing Mr. Nguyen Ba Kien as Editor-in-Chief of VietTimes Magazine

At the ceremony, the Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Media Association, Nguyen Minh Hong, presented the appointment decision to Mr. Nguyen Ba Kien, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Giao Thong Newspaper, appointing him as Editor-in-Chief of VietTimes online magazine, effective March 1, 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Media Association Nguyen Minh Hong said that the new Editor-in-Chief of VietTimes Magazine is outstanding in all three areas of expertise, ethics, and management, thus receiving high trust from the Association's Standing Committee and being carefully considered and selected by the Association's leadership.

Affirming VietTimes' important role in the Association's activities, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong hoped that Mr. Nguyen Ba Kien would utilize his intellect and experience to help the magazine develop further, continuing to be a clean and reputable news outlet that attracts much public attention.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong thanked and highly appreciated the contributions of journalist Le Tho Binh, former Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of VietTimes, for steering the magazine through a difficult period. These contributions were of great significance in helping VietTimes achieve its current position.

Speaking upon receiving his appointment, the new Editor-in-Chief of VietTimes online magazine, Nguyen Ba Kien, expressed his gratitude to his predecessors who had dedicated much effort and passion to building the magazine. He also expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in him by Chairman Nguyen Minh Hong and the leaders of the Vietnam Digital Media Association. The new Editor-in-Chief hoped that the Association's leaders would continue to provide attention and support so that VietTimes could develop even more steadily.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Kien expressed his determination and aspiration to make VietTimes a prestigious and in-depth magazine, and to establish new milestones and impressive achievements as VietTimes celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Journalist Nguyen Ba Kien was born in 1976 in Hanoi . Throughout his career, he has held many positions, demonstrating dedication and commitment, leading to outstanding results and success.
Prior to being appointed Editor-in-Chief of VietTimes online magazine, journalist Nguyen Ba Kien spent 10 years as Editor-in-Chief of Giao Thong Newspaper. He was highly regarded by the Ministry of Transport leadership for his contributions to improving the newspaper's reputation and quality.
