Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister

On the afternoon of June 6, Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long was approved by the National Assembly to be appointed as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.

According to the National Assembly's working program on June 6, the National Assembly will meet separately to consider and decide on personnel work under the authority of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man .

Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long has been approved by the National Assembly to be appointed as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, 61 years old, from Sam Son city, Thanh Hoa province, PhD in Law. He is a member of the Party Central Committee, 12th and 13th terms; a National Assembly delegate, 14th and 15th terms.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Azerbaijan (former Soviet Union), Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long began his career as a specialist at the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Justice. He then held various positions at the Ministry of Justice, such as Secretary to the Minister, Director of the Department of General Lawmaking Issues, and Deputy Minister of Justice.

From March 2014 to October 2015, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long served as Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee. From April 2016 to present, he has served as Secretary of the Party Committee and Minister of Justice.
