Competition to innovate and improve the quality of education and training

On the morning of November 17, Hanoi National University of Education, Ministry of Education and Training held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20 and the 8th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Education Sector (2025 - 2030).

Launching the emulation movement for the 2025-2030 period, Minister Nguyen Kim Son said: The education sector has widely deployed emulation movements, taking them as a great spiritual motivation to improve people's knowledge, train human resources and foster talents.

Thanks to the unanimous determination of the entire political system, the support of the people, especially the dedication and responsibility of more than 1.6 million teachers and managers, the emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Education and Training have achieved many outstanding results.

Through this, a series of typical collectives and individuals have emerged, representing the will, determination and aspiration for innovation and creativity. These achievements have been recognized by the Party and the State, creating an important driving force contributing to the successful implementation of the country's general socio-economic development goals.

The Ministry of Education and Training will continue to promote the combined strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels in implementing emulation and reward work; actively respond to and effectively implement emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister.

On behalf of the Education sector and the Emulation and Reward Council of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Minister launched a patriotic emulation movement in the entire Education sector for the period 2025 - 2030 with the theme: "The entire Education sector competes in innovation, improving the quality of education and training, providing high-quality human resources, meeting the requirements of national development in the period 2025 - 2030"; to make a breakthrough in education and training development in the spirit of Resolution 71 of the Politburo, the Party and State's directions on education and training, contributing to socio-economic development, national innovation, building and defending the Fatherland, meeting the requirements of rapid and strong development of the country in the new period.

5 important things to focus on

The Minister suggested that the whole industry focus on the following main contents:

Firstly: Focus on propagating and thoroughly grasping Ho Chi Minh's thought on patriotic emulation, the content of Directive No. 41-CT/TW of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in emulation and reward work in the new situation, deploying specific solutions to implement Directive No. 41-CT/TW in conjunction with concretizing Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development; implementing the opinions and statements of General Secretary To Lam directing the education sector at the recent opening ceremony of the new school year and the 80th anniversary of the education sector's tradition and the direction of President Luong Cuong at the celebration of Vietnam Teachers' Day and the 8th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the education sector today.

Second: Each educational and training institution, each civil servant, public employee, and worker in the entire sector must properly carry out the tasks and solutions of Resolution 71, Resolution 57, the Law on Teachers, and many other policies and guidelines.

The entire sector has performed well its role in improving people's knowledge, training human resources, nurturing talents, and raising the vanguard flag on the ideological and cultural front. Promoting the glorious historical tradition of the education sector and the Ministry of Education and Training, uniting and striving to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party, the State and the People.

At the same time, effectively implement the Law on Teachers; build a team of teachers that meets the requirements in terms of quantity, structure, qualifications, capacity, and lecturers with strong political will, good expertise, clear professional ethics, and a strong desire to contribute.

Improve the quality of preschool and general education, implement universal secondary education and equivalent, modernize vocational education, create breakthroughs in developing high-quality human resources and talents, strengthen moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic education to form the values ​​of Vietnamese people in the new era.

Promote comprehensive digital transformation; maintain and foster the spirit of solidarity and unity throughout the industry; promote the will to take responsibility, the desire to contribute, and take decisive and effective actions to create a combined strength. The collective leadership of educational institutions must be a political core, strong, clean, and exemplary. Promote deep international cooperation and integration, and increase the application of international standards in the national education system in accordance with Vietnam's conditions and circumstances.

Third: Strengthen the role of orientation, direction, and comprehensive leadership of Party committees, Party organizations, and authorities in education and training. Party committees, Party organizations, heads of agencies and units innovate thinking, actions, leadership, and direction, have specific plans and measures to create strong qualitative changes in education and training; create motivation to promote the good completion of key tasks of agencies and units, and improve the quality and effectiveness of education and training.

Each school is the foundation, creating material and technical conditions, a safe learning environment and a support to help students develop comprehensively.

Every teacher, civil servant and public employee in the whole sector promotes a sense of responsibility, spirit of ownership, and contributes intelligence and effort to the development of the education sector.

All teachers, lecturers, and workers in the education sector compete to best implement the spirit that each teacher is a shining example for students to follow, strive to innovate teaching methods in the direction that teachers are leaders, orienters, supporters, and develop learners' capacity; apply modern technology and techniques, and effectively implement emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Education and Training.

Each student should promote patriotism by cultivating their will and aspirations, studying hard and practicing, living a good and ethical lifestyle, obeying the law and actively participating in community activities and volunteering to become a useful person and build a career and future for the country. In addition, they should proactively learn and absorb the quintessence of world culture, preserve national identity and constantly improve their intelligence and skills to contribute to the common development of the country and the nation, becoming global citizens.

Fourth: Improve the quality and effectiveness of emulation movements and reward work, create motivation to contribute to the successful implementation of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training, development and application of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, and the goals and tasks of rapid and sustainable national development.

Discover and replicate advanced models in emulation movements associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; promptly commend, honor and reward the right people, the right work, the right achievements, and arouse the spirit of dedication and creativity of collectives and individuals in the education sector.

Five: Media agencies increase the time spent on special pages, columns, and information about patriotic emulation movements, good people, and good deeds to praise, honor, and replicate, creating a widespread influence in society.

The Minister emphasized: Deeply implementing the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: "Together we promote patriotic emulation, any difficulty can be overcome, any task can be completed well", for the Education sector "No matter how difficult it is, we must compete to teach well - study well", the Ministry of Education and Training requested education managers at all levels, teachers, civil servants, public employees, staff and students in the whole sector to work together to effectively carry out the emulation movement, contributing to promoting the successful implementation of the political tasks of the Education sector in the period 2025 - 2030.

The Minister believes that in the new period, the emulation movement of the education sector will have many improvements, contributing to promoting the improvement of the quality of all levels and grades of education and well performing the political tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.
