Coast Guard Region 2 Command visits people in the "flood center" of Hue

(NLDO) - The Coast Guard Region 2 Command is ready with forces, vehicles, food, and necessities to support people in flood-affected areas.

On the afternoon of October 29, in Hue City, a working delegation of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command coordinated with the Propaganda and Education Department and the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Hue City Party Committee to visit and give gifts to households facing difficulties due to floods in Dan Dien Commune. Mr. Hoang Khanh Hung - Head of the Propaganda and Education Department of the Hue City Party Committee, and Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Vung, Political Commissar of Squadron 202, headed the working delegation.

The working group visited people in the "flood center" area of ​​Dan Dien.

Overcoming many deeply flooded roads, the delegation gave 30 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) including instant noodles, milk, soft drinks, dry food... to people in flooded areas. The delegation also visited and encouraged the family of Mr. Tran Tan Hao, residing in Dong Lam village, whose relative was missing due to the flood, and gave him a support gift of 1 million VND.

The working group gave gifts to people in the flooded area of ​​Dan Dien.

The gifts, though small, show the affection, responsibility and sharing of the coast guard officers and soldiers with the people in the flood-affected areas.

Since early October 2025, due to the impact of storm circulation and tropical depression, the Central provinces, especially Hue and Da Nang , have experienced prolonged heavy rains, causing severe flooding. Many residential areas have been isolated, people's lives have encountered numerous difficulties, lacking food, clean water and essential necessities.

Faced with that situation, implementing the direction of the Vietnam Coast Guard, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 urgently deployed forces and vehicles, coordinating with local authorities to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Faced with the complicated developments of floods in the Central region, many households are isolated and lacking food, clean water and daily necessities. The Command of Coast Guard Region 2 will continue to closely coordinate with localities, readying forces, vehicles, food and necessities to support people in flood-affected areas.
