If you haven't made plans to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8th, you can consider these destinations in Northern Vietnam, overflowing with spring flowers, perfect for a short weekend getaway.
Ha Giang is an ideal travel destination for International Women's Day (March 8th). From the end of February to the beginning of April, flowers such as peach blossoms, pear blossoms, and plum blossoms bloom brilliantly, creating a romantic landscape. The temperature here ranges from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius, and the cool weather makes it ideal for sightseeing and taking photos.
With just a 2-day, 1-night trip, visitors can explore famous tourist attractions such as the Dong Van Stone Plateau, Ma Pi Leng Pass, Lung Cu Flagpole, the Hmong King's Mansion, and enjoy the picturesque scenery of the Nho Que River.
In particular, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of local specialties such as thang co (a type of stew), au tau porridge, five-colored sticky rice, buckwheat triangular cakes... all delicious and unique.

Moc Chau
March is the time when the white bauhinia flowers – a characteristic flower of the Northwest mountainous region – bloom profusely. Roads and hillsides covered in white bauhinia flowers are ideal photo spots for tourists visiting Moc Chau. In addition, tourists can also visit the heart-shaped tea hills, take pictures, and enjoy pure green tea.
In recent years, Moc Chau has developed community-based tourism in villages such as Ang village (Thai ethnic group), Pa Phach village (Hmong ethnic group)... Tourists can experience staying in homestays designed in the traditional stilt house style, living with the locals, participating in cooking, and enjoying local specialties such as sticky rice cooked in bamboo tubes, grilled stream fish, and smoked buffalo meat.

Sa Pa
Sa Pa is a tourist destination that can please the whole family on March 8th. Here, spring is the time when "hundreds of flowers bloom," and the terraced rice fields begin to turn a lush green after winter, creating a landscape that is both wild and romantic.
The cool, dry weather in Sa Pa at the beginning of March is ideal for climbing Fansipan and conquering trekking routes like Ta Van, Cat Cat, and Y Ty... to chase the sea of clouds. Compared to summer or holidays, March is a time with fewer tourists, allowing visitors to enjoy a more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

In March, Tam Dao often experiences fog in the early mornings and evenings, creating a magical, ethereal landscape. Especially during this time, the bauhinia flowers, rhododendrons, and many other wildflowers bloom, creating a dreamy and picturesque scene perfect for photography.
In Tam Dao town, tourists can climb mountains, explore Silver Waterfall, the ancient stone church, the Temple of the Goddess of the Mountains, and experience activities such as cloud hunting and camping in the fresh, relaxing atmosphere.
