Ministry of Construction requests to speed up site clearance progress of QL.28B project

The Ministry of Construction has just sent a document to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, expressing its gratitude for the province's attention and coordination in site clearance for the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B (QL.28B) through Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces.

According to information from the Ministry of Construction 's document sent to the Provincial People's Committee on July 25, the project has handed over 91% (61.7km/68km) of the site for construction implementation. However, there are still some sections that have not been handed over and technical infrastructure works have not been relocated. Specifically, according to the report of the Vietnam Road Administration (Project Investor), there are still 6.3km that have not been handed over; some technical infrastructure works have not been relocated (4.3km of water pipes, 100 electric poles of various types and railway signal lines at abutment M2 of the railway overpass); regarding land acquisition procedures, there are currently 23.21 hectares of land that have not yet approved the site clearance plan (of which 16.19 hectares are owned by 03 organizations, 535 households and 7.01 hectares of public land).

Because the remaining time to complete the project in 2025 is very short (only 5 months left), the Ministry of Construction requested the People's Committee of Lam Dong province to focus on directing relevant units to completely resolve compensation procedures, land recovery, and relocation of technical infrastructure in August 2025.

The Ministry of Construction also requested the Vietnam Road Administration and Project Management Board 5 to closely coordinate with functional agencies and communes of Lam Dong province to resolve problems in site clearance and construction, ensuring the completion of the QL.28B Project in 2025.

The Ministry of Construction emphasized that if the locality fails to complete the handover of the site on schedule, the project will be at risk of not being completed on time and not being able to disburse all the capital allocated in the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period.
