Diễn viên Huyền Lizzie và Huỳnh Anh cùng góp mặt với vai trò là khách mời trong tập 118.
Actresses Huyen Lizzie and Huynh Anh appeared as guest stars in episode 118.

In this episode, hosted by MC Dai Nghia, and featuring guest appearances by actors Huynh Anh and Huyen Lizzie, the artists joined forces to overcome challenges and win a valuable prize to help three orphaned children: Nguyen Thi Thu Uyen (15 years old), Vu Thi Hong Bich (15 years old), and Nguyen Thi Yen (15 years old).

Actor Huynh Anh shared: “The Vietnamese tradition is ‘helping those in need,’ and I feel very honored to participate in the Vietnamese Family Shelter program. I hope that through this program I can contribute in some way to help the children have more motivation to overcome difficulties in life. For me, when life throws misfortunes at us, what remains is to strive and try to overcome those misfortunes.” The actor hopes that his participation can help inspire effort and determination to overcome difficulties for orphaned children.

Actress Huyen Lizzie said that "Vietnamese Family Shelter" is a meaningful program, and the circumstances of the children who come to the program bring her to tears every time she witnesses them. "The children in the program are all orphans, lacking parental love, which is a great disadvantage in life. I hope that my efforts and Huynh Anh's efforts today can somehow help these children overcome difficulties and give them more motivation to continue studying and developing in the future," the actress added.

Among this week's featured individuals, the plight of Vu Thi Hong Bich has evoked much sympathy. Hong Bich, born in 2009, is a student at Hoa Lu A High School in Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province. She has lacked a complete family since a very young age.

Hong Bich's parents divorced when she was eight months old. Hong Bich and her older sister lived with their father, while her three sisters lived with their mother. Not long after, their mother developed a mental illness and stayed at her parents' house, unable to work to support her children. It was then that Hong Bich and her three sisters were reunited.

Ironically, Hong Bich's father passed away in September 2024 due to multiple illnesses including diabetes, kidney failure, pneumonia, and neurological disorders. Just 17 days later, their grandfather, who cared for them, also died. Their mother suffers from mental illness and is unable to care for them. Since then, Hong Bich and her four sisters have relied solely on each other.

Bich's eldest sister, Vu Thi Loan (born in 2002), once dreamed of becoming a doctor but had to drop out of school in the 9th grade due to difficult family circumstances. Currently, Loan works at a shoe factory 10km from home. She works from 7 am to 9 pm, earning about 6 million VND per month. All living expenses for the family depend solely on Loan's income. On days when the family runs out of food, Loan buys 5,000 VND worth of pork fat, renders it, and eats it with rice to get through the meal. The image of this eldest sister, barely in her twenties, single-handedly struggling to earn money to support her three younger siblings, evokes pity in everyone.

Their father passed away, their mother suffers from mental illness, and the four sisters live relying on each other, a story that touches everyone's hearts.

The image of the four orphaned girls holding hands at the "Vietnamese Family Shelter" program deeply moved the artists. Actress Huyen Lizzie was choked with emotion seeing the sisters Hong Bich and her sibling knowing how to support and rely on each other. The meal of pork fat shared by the four sisters brought the actress to tears. She wiped away her tears while continuously comforting and encouraging the little girls.

MC Dai Nghia also expressed his sorrow for the four sisters, Hong Bich and her siblings, who have gone through so much misfortune. They have continuously lost their father and grandfather, and their mother is ill and unable to care for them, leaving them to rely on each other. The male MC was deeply concerned. “It’s truly difficult. Loan’s income is only about 6 million VND per month, and she has so much to worry about. And with four sisters living together like that, who knows what tomorrow will bring? Loan is only 22 years old, and because of the family burden, she had to drop out of school and give up her dream of becoming a doctor to work and take care of her sisters alone. I feel so sorry for her,” MC Dai Nghia confided.

Những tâm sự về cuộc sống hằng ngày của 4 chị em Hồng Bích khiến cả 3 nghệ sĩ đều nghẹn ngào.
The stories about the daily lives of the four Hong Bich sisters moved all three artists to tears.

The next case is Nguyen Thi Yen (born in 2009), currently studying at the Vocational Training and Continuing Education Center in Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province. Yen's father suffered from kidney failure and passed away in 2023. Yen is currently living with her mother, older sister, and younger sister.

Yen's mother is Ngo Thi Hanh (born in 1980). Ms. Hanh suffers from several illnesses, including herniated discs, anemia, back pain, bronchitis, gastritis, and duodenal ulcers. Despite her poor health, Ms. Hanh tries to work as a textile factory worker to earn money to support her children. However, due to her many illnesses, she cannot work regularly, and sometimes she does farming to supplement her income. All the burdens of the family fall on her shoulders, causing her health to deteriorate further.

What everyone admires most about the family is that all three sisters, including Yen, have received an education. The eldest sister is a university student in Hanoi , while Yen and her younger sister are also attending school daily. Seeing their mother's hard work, the three sisters know how to support each other, proactively doing housework and cooking to help their mother. Yen's mother's current wish is for all three children to complete their education successfully.

Actor Huynh Anh expressed his admiration upon hearing the words of Nguyen Thi Yen's mother, "I can do anything hard, as long as my three children can get an education, I'll be at peace." The actor offered words of encouragement to the characters and urged the eldest sister to strive to complete her university studies so she can find a stable job in the future.

MC Dai Nghia emotionally said: “Yen's mother is a very strong-willed woman. Despite her many illnesses and the pain she's in, she didn't dare tell her children because she was afraid they would worry and neglect their studies, or even drop out of school. Yen is also very understanding, temporarily taking a break from school to give her older sister a chance to attend university. Even though she's studying at the Continuing Education Center, she still strives to learn, which is very commendable.”

Like her senior colleague, Huyen Lizzie couldn't hold back her tears when she saw the house full of women, with a sick mother and young children living in such impoverished circumstances. The actress expressed her concern and worry for the health of Yen's mother and hoped that the three sisters would have the opportunity to continue their education.

Ms. Hanh burst into tears as she watched the footage of her own family.

The other case is Nguyen Thi Thu Uyen (born in 2009), a student at Yen Khanh A High School in Yen Khanh District, Ninh Binh Province. Thu Uyen lives with her mother and older brother. Her situation is extremely difficult; her father died in 2010 in a traffic accident, her mother suffers from coronary artery disease and a herniated disc, and her older brother has also had heart disease and mitral valve regurgitation since childhood. Thu Uyen is now the only healthy member of the family.

Despite her illness, Thu Uyên's mother, Ms. Đinh Thị Thêu (1985), still tries to work to earn money to support her children. Thu Uyên's older brother, Nguyễn Đức Hiệp (2004), overcame the obstacles of his illness to study and is currently a third-year university student. The resilience of all three, mother and children, has earned the admiration of many.

After her father passed away, Thu Uyên and her older brother became a strong source of emotional support for their mother.

Witnessing the extremely difficult circumstances of all three families further strengthened the resolve of the two guests to overcome the challenges and win valuable prizes for the children. In the 1 minute 30 second sub-challenge, actors Huynh Anh and Huyen Lizzie had to complete the balloon transport challenge. Specifically, the two guests used two ropes to hold balloons, navigating obstacles to bring them to the finish line. This challenge didn't require much physical strength but rather the skill of holding the balloons and the ability to move quickly and flexibly to save time. Initially, Huynh Anh and Huyen Lizzie decided to hold the balloons with ropes, but the movement caused the ropes to loosen, and sudden gusts of wind caused the balloons to fly up. The two artists decided to change tactics, instead of holding the balloons, they used the ropes to lift them high and then push them to the finish line smoothly.

In the main competition, actors Huynh Anh and Huyen Lizzie teamed up with the children to complete the challenge of bringing 20 balls to the finish line. Players took balls from the starting line, walked across a seesaw, then crawled through obstacles to throw the balls to the finish line. The journey of getting the balls over the obstacles wasn't too difficult, but it required a lot of physical strength. However, the most challenging part was throwing the balls to the finish line. Because of the continuous running, the artists lost energy and missed the target several times. Nevertheless, as soon as they regained their focus, Huynh Anh and Huyen Lizzie quickly recovered and completed the challenges.

MC Dai Nghia enthusiastically encouraged and supported the two guests to overcome the challenges.

After several rounds of competition, Vu Thi Hong Bich's family won 15 million VND. Nguyen Thi Yen's family came in second, receiving 20 million VND. Nguyen Thi Thu Uyen's family advanced to the special round, winning 3 logo panels and a prize of 70 million VND.

In addition, MC Dai Nghia donated 5 million VND to each family. Actress Huyen Lizzie also contributed 4 million VND from her own pocket to Hong Bich's family and 3 million VND each to the other two families. Actor Huynh Anh also gave the children a special gift.

In addition, generous donors who came to watch directly presented the families with a total of nearly 50 million VND. Thus, with the support of MC Dai Nghia, actor Huynh Anh and actress Huyen Lizzie, along with the best efforts of the three families, they won a total prize of 105 million VND from Hoa Sen Group, along with many meaningful gifts.

Số tiền thưởng vừa là động lực, vừa là tài lực để các gia đình vượt qua khó khăn.
The prize money serves as both motivation and financial support for families to overcome difficulties.
