Initial identification of victims in the fire in Cau Giay district, Hanoi

On the evening of May 24, related to the fire at a motel in Trung Kinh (Trung Hoa ward, Cau Giay district, Hanoi ), authorities clarified the identities of 11/14 deceased victims.

A representative of the People's Committee of Cau Giay District said that they have clarified the identities, birth years and hometowns of 11/14 victims who died in the fire at the motel in Trung Kinh; the remaining 3 victims are awaiting DNA testing to identify them.

Specifically, at Cau Giay Funeral Home (Tran Vy Street, Mai Dich Ward, Cau Giay District), there were 10 bodies of victims. Of which: 4 victims were transferred to their hometowns for burial: Mr. VVD (born in 1998, in Hai Duong Province) and Ms. H. (born in 1998); Ms. NTNM (born in 1995, in Thai Binh ); Mr. TQK (born in 1998, in Hung Yen).

Mr. NMXH (born in 1997) and Ms. PTTH (born in 1997), both from Ha Tinh , are waiting for their families to identify them.

The remaining victims are expected to be embalmed and funerals held in Hanoi.

Fire scene

At the 19-8 Hospital Funeral Home, there are 4 bodies of victims being kept. Of these, 2 victims have been brought home for burial by their families: Ms. VTL (born in 1999) and Ms. NTKO (born in 1996), both from Thach That district, Hanoi.

The identities of the 3 deceased victims (1 case at Cau Giay Funeral Home, 2 cases at 19-8 Hospital Funeral Home) have not yet been determined. Initial identification of the 3 victims includes: Mr. MNT (born in 1987, in Bac Kan), Mr. LTT (born in 2000, in Hung Yen), Mr. VNL (born in 2000, in Lao Cai).

6 people were injured in the fire including: 3 mothers and children of Ms. T. (2 children are H.D. and MA) who are being treated at the Traffic Hospital; 3 cases transferred from the Traffic Hospital to Bach Mai Hospital are Mrs. K. (84 years old), Mr. K. and his wife and Ms. X.
