Ca Mau: Breaking through three pillars, elevating the all-people national defense posture.

With the theme: “Promoting the heroic traditions of the unit, building a clean, strong, and exemplary Party Committee; a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern provincial armed forces; firmly protecting the southernmost region of the Fatherland,” the Congress is an important milestone affirming the political fortitude, determination, and spirit of unity of the entire Party Committee and armed forces of the province in the new period.

The political report at the congress showed that the 2020-2025 term of the Ca Mau Provincial Military Party Committee concluded with many positive results: 100% of training targets were completed, with many aspects achieving good or excellent results; the all-people national defense posture was firmly consolidated; and discipline and order were maintained. Party building work saw many innovations, and the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations were increasingly enhanced. In particular, military recruitment achieved outstanding results with 596 candidates admitted to military academies and schools – an increase of over 10% compared to the previous term, contributing to supplementing high-quality human resources for the Army in the new period.

The Ca Mau Provincial Military Party Committee has set the goal for the next term to build a strong and comprehensive provincial armed force, with the Party organization successfully fulfilling its tasks and meeting the requirements of national defense in the new situation. The focus is on three strategic breakthroughs: A breakthrough in training and combat readiness, proactively and effectively handling all situations, avoiding passivity and surprise; a breakthrough in building a regular and disciplined force, coupled with ensuring absolute safety in all tasks; and a breakthrough in the application of technology, digital transformation, and administrative reform, aiming to improve the effectiveness of leadership, command, and management.

At the congress, many presentations focused on analyzing key issues such as: improving the quality of training, developing the militia and self-defense forces, building a clean and strong Party organization; strengthening political and ideological education, contributing to building a solid national defense system.

In his directive speech, Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai commended the achievements of the Provincial Military Party Committee during the past term, and emphasized: The success of the Congress is an important milestone, creating a solid political foundation for the implementation of military, national defense, and border defense tasks in the new phase, firmly protecting the southernmost region of the Fatherland.

To build a solid national defense system based on the people's participation, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Military Region 9 also noted the need to continue improving the quality of regional defense exercises, consolidating the organization of commune-level military commands, and promoting the role of local armed forces in advising on national defense. Emphasis should be placed on thoroughly checking training results, overcoming the problem of focusing on achievements rather than substance; developing militia and self-defense forces according to the correct scale and structure; and effectively implementing national defense and security education for all target groups, contributing to raising public awareness of the task of protecting the Fatherland.

With a spirit of innovation and strong political determination, the 13th Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Military Party Committee was successfully concluded, opening a new phase of development and contributing to building a strong and comprehensive provincial armed force, successfully fulfilling all assigned tasks.
