Provincial leaders offer incense on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day 29

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on the morning of August 31, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province laid wreaths and offered incense to pay respect to President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs at the Temple of Heroic Martyrs of the province (Thien Ton town, Hoa Lu district) and the Monument of Heroic Martyrs of the province (Dong Thanh ward, Ninh Binh city).

Attending the incense offering ceremony were comrades: Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, National Assembly Delegation, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of departments, branches, sectors, and organizations of the province; leaders of districts and cities.

78 years ago, on September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh, on behalf of the provisional government, respectfully read the Declaration of Independence, declaring to the people of the whole country and the world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "Vietnam has the right to enjoy freedom and independence and in fact has become a free and independent country. The entire Vietnamese people are determined to devote all their spirit and strength, their lives and property to maintain that freedom and independence."

National Day September 2, 1945 opened a new era - the era of independence and freedom for the Vietnamese people. The past 78 years have been a process of struggle, arduous sacrifice, not sparing the wealth and blood of the entire nation in both resistance and national construction to protect and build the Vietnamese Fatherland to become many times stronger and become a prestigious country in the international arena as it is today.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, on behalf of the Party Committee, government, army and people in the province, the provincial delegation laid wreaths, respectfully offered incense and observed a minute of silence to commemorate and pay tribute to the great contributions of the great President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs, including more than 16 thousand martyrs who were children of Ninh Binh who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and the construction and protection of the Fatherland.

With infinite gratitude, the Party Committee, government, army and people in the province pledge to constantly strive to cultivate, practice, study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; promote the revolutionary tradition, solidarity, innovation and creativity, determined to successfully complete the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 22nd Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, build Ninh Binh province to be increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized, contributing to building and firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.

The wreath of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province bears the inscription: "The Party Committee and People of Ninh Binh province forever remember the heroic martyrs".

Representatives of the provincial armed forces also offered incense and laid wreaths before the souls of the heroic martyrs. The wreaths bore the inscription: "The Ninh Binh Provincial Armed Forces forever remember the heroic martyrs."

* On the same day, the provincial delegation offered incense and flowers to commemorate the late President and General Tran Dai Quang at his grave in Quang Thien commune, Kim Son district.
